Established in 2007, AMR Engineering’s expertise encompasses building restoration including exterior analysis of building envelopes and components, local law facade inspections and repairs, local law parking garage inspections and repairs, and leak investigation and resolution. We have worked on post-war, pre-war, and landmark buildings, specifically brick, limestone and terra cotta building facades throughout the greater New York City vicinity. Our skills also include concrete and steel repairs, roofing, and waterproofing, building assessment and ten-year budget plans. We provide our clients with physical survey analysis, contract documents, building department filing and construction administration and monitoring services.
Amr Hafez, P.E., MSCE is the founder and Principal of AMR Engineering, with over 30 years’ experience in all phases of the building restoration process. Mr. Hafez has a Master of Science in Construction Management from NYU Polytechnic and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Mr. Hafez is a designated NYC DOB Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector (QEWI) and Special Inspector as well as a designated NYC DOB Qualified Parking Structure Inspector (QPSI). He is a licensed Professional Engineer currently licensed in the states of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.
James Napoli, P.E. is the firm’s technical director and Principal of AMR Engineering, with over 15 years’ experience in all phases of the building restoration process. Mr. Napoli has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University with a Focus in Structural Engineering. Mr. Napoli is a designated NYC DOB QEWI and Special Inspector as well as a designated NYC DOB QPSI. He is a licensed Professional Engineer currently licensed in the states of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.
Curran Boyce, MBA, is the firm’s business leader and President of AMR Management Consultants. Mr. Boyce has a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Curran previously served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps, and is focused on the firm’s business development and operations.
